Ms Esther worked as an intensive care nurse for about 8 years before she embarked onto a counselling career from 1999. She began as a school counsellor with Lifelinks Ltd, a social service arm of her church until 2005 after which she returned to serve as pastoral worker for a year. In the interim she completed an MA in Social Science (Counselling) and a diploma in Theology with Bible College of Victoria, Australia. In 2010, she completed her second MA in counselling with the Singapore Bible College. Since graduated, Esther has been serving in college as counselling centre coordinator, resident therapist and lecturer. In Jan 2017, she became a faculty member. She teaches two core modules Theory & Practice in Counselling and Psychological Assessments. Besides teaching, she continues to provide counselling services to students as well as people seeking help from churches, para-church organizations and the public. She sees the importance of ongoing practice that informs her effectiveness in teaching her students.
Besides work, she enjoys travelling, reading and hopes to learn to play a musical instrument in future.
