Rev. Dr. Clement Chia preached at nine churches in Singapore, including at Hebron Bible-Presbyterian Church’s 30th anniversary. Nine overseas preaching sessions were cancelled due to pandemic measures. He presented a webinar on “Who Is Jesus to Me?” for Malaysia Baptist Theological Seminary and responded to a paper entitled “The Past and the Future” by Prof. Lin Hong Hsin at the Mackay Lectures at Taiwan Theological College and Seminary.
Dr. Myrleene Yap stepped down from her appointment as Interim Senior Director of Community Relations (CR) w.e.f. 1 July 2020. The College greatly appreciates Dr. Yap for her contributions made in the CR Domain during her one-year tenure. Dr. Yap will continue to inspire students through her role as Associate Professor at the School of Church Music.
Rev. Dr. Clement Chia will take on the role of Covering Senior Director of Community Relations w.e.f. 1 July 2020.
We warmly welcome Dr. Leonard Sidharta from Indonesia as our new SOTC faculty member from 1 September 2020. Dr. Sidharta studied theology and philosophy at Reformed Evangelical Seminary (Indonesia) and Calvin University (US), and received his PhD from Purdue University (US). He and his wife, Dewi, have two daughters.

Dr. Calvin Chong presented on “The Contribution of Theological Schools to Diaspora Missions” at the Lausanne Diaspora Virtual Summit. He spoke on “Christian Identity and Social Justice” at the NTU Christian Fellowship’s Fellowship Night. He also shared on “The Impact of the Digital World on the Church” at the Bible-Presbyterian Church in Singapore’s Annual Presbytery Meeting.

Mr. Eudenice V. Palaruan spoke on the topic “Rehearsing the Soul: Keeping the Music Alive in Us” for the New Millennium Sanctuary Choir, Manila. He led the SBC Chorale in a hymn reflection entitled “Looking Up During Lock Down”. Finally, the world premiere of his original composition, “Sh’ma”, which is based on 2 Chronicles 7:14 and in Hebrew, was performed by the Sacred Music at Notre Dame’s Concordia Choir, USA.
Dr. Myrleene Yap? and Dr. Joseph Lee were speakers at the anniversary service of New Millennium Evangelical Church, the Philippines. Dr. Yap also spoke at a webinar on congregational song organized by GKA Gloria, Surabaya.
