The 30-credit Advanced Diploma (AdvDip) is designed for individuals who may not hold university degrees, but desire basic formal theological training for Christian ministry. The programme includes courses on Bible, Bible interpretation, theology, mission, Christian spirituality, as well as additional electives.?
The AdvDip also functions as a bridging programme to prepare students for graduate-level studies at SBC. Some international students who possess a bachelor’s degree but lack adequate academic foundations and/or English language proficiency may also take the AdvDip as a bridging programme. Students taking the AdvDip as a bridging programme must complete it full-time and attain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.?
Tailored for an Asian audience, the AdvDip can be taken on a full-time basis in one year or on a part-time basis over three years, and is offered completely online, via recorded videos and synchronous Zoom tutorials. Students in this programme have the option to participate in the Immersion Experience, where they can stay onsite at SBC for 1–2 weeks at the start of the semester and get to know their classmates and faculty in person.

*Church Involvement Ministry: Students, whether enrolled full-time or part-time, are required to be involved in at least one ministry during their studies.
