Itinerary

Check in for our flight to Istanbul at 0730 hours via Dubai on EK315 at 1030 hours arriving in Dubai at 1400 hours. Connect on EK117 at 1745 hours arriving into Istanbul at 2155 hours. After immigration and custom clearance, meet up with guide and proceed to Istanbul hotel for overnight.

After breakfast we have a unique experience between two continents on the Bosphorus Cruise, passing by the Ottoman Palaces, Rumelia Castle, Anatolian Castle and the lifestyle of people on the coastline of Bosphorus. Next visit the Spice Market which is the most popular bazaar in Istanbul for local people where you can find dried fruits, nuts, apple tea etc. After lunch at a fish restaurant, drive to the historical town of Istanbul (Constantinople). Photo Stop at Blue Mosque which is the second largest mosque in Istanbul, built to compete with Hagia Sophia, dating back from 17th century. Blue Mosque is famous for its blue tiles and 6 minarets. Walk around to Hippodrome Square former center of sportive and political activities of Constantinople to see the famous Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine Column and Wilhelm II fountain. Photo Stop at Hagia Sophia which has been a cathedral and now turn into a mosque. End the day with a visit to the Archaeological Museums, they are a compound of museums which consist of three major sections: The Archeological Museum, The Museum of Ancient Orient, The Tiled Kiosk Museum. Dinner and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.

Breakfast at your hotel, we start our Biblical Journey to Akhisar (Thyatira), which is the fourth of the Seven Churches, the letter to Thyatira is the central and the longest of the seven letters. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. We drive to Sardes Ancient City; one of the most picturesque area of The Seven Churches. It is here St. John expressed his concern for pushing further with the progress of the city’s faith. Sardes also is one of the first settlements for Jewish people after they were sent from Holy Land by Babylon. Visit Philadelphia: A favorite city of St. Paul and St. John. The city for the love of brothers. Proceed to Pamukkale for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at your hotel, we proceed to Pamukkale and visit Laodicea which is one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. After lunch at a local restaurant, we visit Cotton Castle, a magical and unique terraces and castles created by deposits of white limestone from thermal springs. We will see Cleopatra’s Antique Pool which was built by the Caesar of Rome Empire Mark Anthoni. Hierapolis Ancient City was founded in 190 B.C. by Eumenes II, king of Pergamum. In the 2nd and 3rd centuries, it reached the height of its development as a Roman thermal bath center. Hierapolis is the place where Apostle Philip was stoned into dead by pagans then he was buried in Hierapolis by Early Christians. Transfer to your hotel in Pamukkale for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel, depart for Ephesus Ancient City, one of the Seven Churches of Revelation, you will see impressive structures such as great theatre where St. Paul and St. John met. Arcadian Street, Trajan fountain, Celsius Library, Hadrian Temple etc. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit St. John’s Tomb and Church, After Jesus Christ was taken up to heaven in Jerusalem Virgin Mary and St. John went to Ephesus and St. John built his church in Ephesus. We visit Ephesus Archaeological Museum where you can see the pieces found in Ephesus. Transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Kusadasi.

After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Priene which was important from the time of uniting the Ionian colonies in Asia Minor, called the Ionian League, that is the alliance of the twelve towns. Continue to Miletus Ancient City; the greatest Greek city in the east. It was the natural outlet for products from the interior of Anatolia and had a considerable wool trade with Sybaris, in southern Italy. Next visit Didyma, located about 11 miles south of the ancient port city of Miletus on the western coast of modern-day Turkey, the Temple of Apollo at Didyma or Didymaion was the fourth largest temple in the ancient Greek world. Transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight in Kusadasi.

Today, we continue our biblical journey to Izmir (Smryna) we have panoramic city tour by bus to see famous Izmir Bay. We visit one of the Seven Churches Of Revelation Agora of Smyrna where St. John preach and point St. Policarp to the people to follow him for Christianity. After lunch, we continue to Pergamon with a Cable Car experience to visit Acropolis. Acropolis is on the highest part of the city. Some of the sites include acropolis Temple of Athena, Temple Of Trojan, Arsenals, Altar of Zeus, and the Library. It was noted for its wickedness, in so much that our Lord says ‘’Satan’s seat’’ was there. The church of Pergamon was rebuked for swerving from the truth and embracing the doctrines of Balaam and the Nicolaitanes. Visit Red Basilica, it is built as a pagan tempel but converted into a church. Drive to Cannakale for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at the hotel, we make a stop in ?anakkale city center to see the Wooden Horse from Holywood Movie ‘Troy’ After they completed Troy Movie in Malta Island that wooden horse was given as a gift by Holywood to Canakkale City to keep in its original place in the history. We transfer to Ipsala Border to continue our biblical journey in Greece with wonderful memories. Arrival at Ipsala border. After the border control formalities, we will cross the Turkish/Greek borders, and meet with our Greek bus and guide at Kipoi border station. We will continue our drive towards the west, making a stop at the town of Alexandroupolis for our lunch. Further drive will bring us to Lydia’s baptistry, the place where Lydia is said to have been baptized, being the first baptism in Europe. After our visit, we will continue to Kavala (biblical Neapolis), which was later renamed to Christoupolis – city of Christ – the first European city to accept Christianity, and the port where Paul, Sylas, Timothy and Luke first set foot in Europe, after receiving the Macedonian Call. As we enter the city, we will take a short panoramic tour to see the Roman aqueduct, and conclude in our hotel in front of the beautiful fishing port of the town. Dinner and overnight in our hotel.

After our breakfast, we will take a short drive to Philippi, the proud Roman colony where the Apostle Paul established a church (Acts 16:9-33). We will explore the ruins of a prison where Apostle Paul and Silas were probably kept, the Agora, the Basilica and the Theatre. After our guided visit, we depart and continue our journey heading west, to arrive in Thessaloniki, a city founded in the 4th Century BC and named after the half-sister of Alexander the Great. Paul planted a church here and was later accused of ‘turning the world upside down’ (Acts 17.6). We will enjoy our lunch at a local restaurant, and then take a panoramic tour of the city to see the Old City Walls, the White Tower, Galerius Arch and the Rotunda. Last but not least, we will visit the basilica of St. Demitrios, the patron Saint of the city, with the famous crypt. Finally, we will conclude in our hotel in Thessaloniki for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast drive to the small town of Kalambaka, where we will enjoy our lunch before we settle in our hotel. Later in the afternoon, we will be visiting Meteora. Amazing rock formations, like towers of sandstone, stand ageless, and have provided sacred retreat for monks over the centuries. A number of monasteries are hidden on top of Meteora. The view over the plain is breathtaking. Meteora is considered among the most beautiful areas of mainland Greece and belongs to UNESCO’s list of world heritage monuments. Return to our hotel in Kalambaka for dinner and overnight.

Today, we continue our journey towards the south, to arrive in Athens early in the afternoon. We will head directly to the historical center, the so called Plaka area, where we will enjoy our lunch at a local restaurant. From here, we will continue on foot, through Plaka and along Dionysiou Aeropagitou Street, to the Sacred rock of the Acropolis for our guided visit to the Propylaea, and the ruins of the Parthenon, the Erechtheion and the temple of Athena Nike. On our exit, we will walk to nearby Areopagus (Acts 17:22), where the Apostle Paul spoke to the Athenians about the one and only God. After our visit, we will continue to our hotel in Athens for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we will check out from our hotel and take a panoramic tour to the most important monuments and landmarks of the Athens including the Panathinaikon stadium, the Zappeion, the temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, Syntagma square, the Parliament, the tomb of the unknown soldier, Schliemann’s house, the Academy, the University, the National Library, and the old Parliament. We will then leave Athens behind and start heading towards Corinth. Our first stop will be to admire the impressive Corinth canal, which cuts across an isthmus that connects the Peloponnese and mainland Greece. Many attempts were made to build a canal in ancient times but this was achieved only in 1893. From here, a short drive will bring us to Cenchrea, the ancient port from where Paul sailed away from Corinth to Syria. A short drive from here will bring us to ancient Corinth. Here is where St. Paul lived for 18 months and wrote the first and second letters to the Corinthians. Under the Acropolis of Corinth (Akrocorinthos) we shall visit the ruins of the ancient city where Paul worked with Aquila and Priscilla, the agora (market) where Paul’ s trial by Gallio took place, the temple of Apollo and the fountain of Peirene. After our visits, we will continue at a local restaurant for lunch, before we take the road back to Athens and directly to the airport, for our departure flight on EK210 at 1800 hours to arrive into Dubai at 0025 hours.
