我们为将临期献上感恩！ 将临期意味着设么呢？!
我一直在默想提多书，保罗在书中教导提多要传讲纯正的道理，让人有正确的生活方式。在第二章中，保罗先讲了不同的家庭成员应该如何生活，来尊崇基督，使基督的道理在凡事上都得着尊荣，而后保罗又以简介有力地方式总结了福音的内容，教导提多要运用权柄去传讲福音。
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works. (Titus 2:11-14)
Here Paul describes the First Advent when the grace of God appeared, bringing salvation to mankind! This grace of God is none other than Jesus Christ, the eternal Word of God that came into this world in human flesh! The apostle John tells us that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have
seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth! (John 1:14).
在第一次将临期时，耶稣以婴儿降世，经历成长，走向十架，为全世界的罪孽而死，来救赎人类，否则人类注定会遭遇毁灭。我们已曾被基督的宝血救赎，如今又作为祂宝贵的儿女被洁净，我们应通过恩典的训练， 过警醒敬虔的生活。
Paul then speaks of the blessed hope that we have as we await the Second Advent when Christ will return in all his power and glory! He came as a helpless human babe, in meekness and humility, but at the second Advent, Christ Jesus will come in all his power and glory – so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:10-11)
在这个将临期，当我们在教会庆祝圣诞节时，让我们也记住即将到来的第二次将临期，耶稣基督将以万王之王、万主之主的身份，满有威严，凯旋而归！在那之前，我们作为已被上帝救赎、被上帝洁净的子民，让我们热心善工，在万民中宣扬他的荣耀，无论我们走到哪里，无论做什么，都荣耀基督！
