Every semester, SOTE makes a selection of our courses available to alumni and interested individuals without requiring them to be currently enrolled in an SBC programme.

Whether you are our alumni or have not taken any of our postgraduate programmes, you are welcome to register for these electives at the School of Theology English.

The History, Faith, and Diversity from the Practice of Asian Religious Tradition

For those wanting to deepen their understanding and engagement with other perspectives, this course explores the history, faith, practice, and diversity of Asian religious tradition and its implications for dialogue throughout the centuries.? It observes the tradition’s historical development; theological commonalities and contrasts; various faith expressions in the context of experientialism, secularism, and spiritualism; and trends and significance for Christian encounter.

Dr. L. Mak

Dr. L. Mak is a lecturer in religious studies based at a theological seminary in the UK but has also taught in various seminaries in Asia. His research and publications relate to faith and East/West interaction. He is also a consultant and adviser to European and Asian enterprises and professionals serving interculturally in many different nations.

Biblical Greek I

Learning Biblical Greek equips you to faithfully understand and teach Scripture. It’s about handling God’s Word with accuracy and care, as a worker approved by God (2 Tim 2:15). Explore the New Testament’s original language to deepen your understanding of the Bible’s timeless truth.

Dr. Daniel Ahn

Daniel Ahn (PhD, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School) is an Associate Professor at Singapore Bible College, teaching New Testament and Biblical Greek. His dissertation examined Jesus’s use of Hosea 6:6 in Matthew. He equips the church to share the gospel, drawing from pastoral and church-planting experiences in the US, London, and Asia.

Spiritual Formation

Spiritual Formation is more than knowing but working and walking in the light of who God is and what He wants of our lives. It’s living our lives in tune with what we are learning in SBC.

Dr. Kok Siang Kiang

Koh Siang Kiang (DMin, Dallas Theological Seminary) teaches Spiritual Formation to help students live and connect in a realistic way to their theological learning.

伦理学

Christians living in today’s world face many issues that challenge our faith and actions. We want to be true to our beliefs, and yet find it hard to do so in the face of the complexities of life. This course will discuss issues such as bribery, technology, and war among others, while seeking to live as faithful disciples.

柯金菊博士

Kwa Kiem Kiok (PhD, Asbury Theological Seminary) teaches in the areas of intercultural studies. One way she lives out her faith to engage in society and the public square is by sitting on medical ethics boards in Singapore.

Audit Course Tuition fee (w/GST): S$359.70

* Credit course participants can earn credit units that are transferable to our programmes. No credit/s will be awarded for audit class takers.

获批的申请人每学期可修读 3 至 6 学分,最多连续 2 个学期。只有本院校友、牧者和宣教士可以随后更新其申请。但后续学期的科目只能旁听,不能修学分。

学分转换:

  1. 若特别生申请课程,他/她可把那时所修的学分转入课程。顶限为12学分;且不能超过所申请的课程的总学分三分之一。修读教牧学博士的特別生可将1学期转入教牧学博士课程。
  1. 学分转换申请需符合各院系的条件及相关评估确定。?
