Rev Dr Hwang is our alumnus. He graduated from SBC in 1979 and received his PhD.in Hermeneutics, Westminster Theological Seminary,1992. During the period 1988-1997 and 2001-2004, he was a full time lecturer in SBC of which he was the Dean of Students during 1988-1997.
- Dr Hwang was ordained by The Presbyterian Church of Singapore in 1995
- In 1997-1999, he founded the Mandarin Congregation of Cambridge Chinese Christian Church, while doing his Post doctoral research studies at Tyndale Biblical Research Centre in Cambridge.
- In 1999-2001, he became the Advisor to Mei De Chinese Christian Church, New Jersey while he was a Visiting Scholar of Westminster Theological Seminary.
- In 2004-2006, when he was a Visiting Lecturer at COCM, Department of Theological Studies, he became the Advisor of Cambridge Chinese Christian Church.
- In 2006-2015 He became the Resident Scholar cum International General Secretary of Worldwide Bible Society, also General Secretary of Tien Dao Publishing House, CEO of Tien Dao Worldwide Organizations.
- In 2015-2017, he became the General Editor, then General Secretary of Golden Lampstand Publication Company.
