obtained his Bachelor of Theology (BTH) with Singapore Bible College (SBC) in 2000. Wesley was a pastor for many years before God directed him to be a full-time counsellor. He has obtained his Master¡¯s degree in Professional Counselling (M.SocSc) and is a registered counsellor with Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC). He is an accredited PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator and is passionate about equipping ministry staff for God¡¯s kingdom.

Paul¡¯s first letter to the Thessalonians is an encouraging letter to an exemplary church to ¡°excel still more¡± despite their afflictions, temptations, and anxieties concerning their loved ones who have died in the Lord. The Thessalonians both imitated Paul and were a model for other congregations to imitate. He concludes with instruction regarding the coming of the Lord that gives us hope in the face of death and motivates us to be diligent until Jesus¡¯ return.
is an Associate Professor in NT Studies at SOTE. He joined the faculty in 2014. He has lived in Singapore since 2005 with his wife, teaching and ministering with various Christian ministries and seminaries here and in the surrounding region. They have one son. Their family worships at Covenant Community Methodist Church.
Most of the approaches and resources on evangelism and discipleship available to us here in Asia are from the West. Consequently, some key themes that pertain to our Asian cultural and religious worldviews are not addressed. This course will explore relevant and compelling ways to present the Gospel of Christ to those who do not know him, as well as look at how we can approach spiritual formation and discipleship in ways that are appropriate to our context.
past careers include a missionary in the MiddleEast, an itinerant apologist with an international apologetics ministry, and now Director of Global Leadership Development with Operation Mobilisation. In addition, she also speaks and writes in the area of cultural apologetics. Some of her writings include Jesus: The Path to Human Flourishing (Graceworks, 2018), as well as contribution to the best-selling book, Beyond Opinion (Thomas Nelson, 2007), and The Harvest Handbook of World Religions (Harvest, 2020).
In this course, we will go through the practicalities of being a cross-cultural worker where intercultural intelligence (CQ) with intercultural skills amongst the locals and colleagues are being taught, ministry skills that are relevant in this present world trends and healthy spiritual and family life that are necessary to thrive while being on the field. It will be specially tailored for those who are thinking of going as missionaries, cross-cultural workers, tent-makers, community development workers as well as church and mission leaders who would like to understand their workers on the field.
along with his wife, Chris, has been serving with OMF in church planting for 30 years in Japan. He is presently a Church Planting Facilitator in Japan. He is also the Dean of Asian Cross-Cultural Training Institute (ACTI) that equips missionary candidates from different countries for their pre-field training in preparation for service in their respective fields. He is also involved in the Homeless Ministry in Tokyo which he started 10 years ago as well as coordinating the LoveJapan project amongst the Japanese and Singapore churches. They have two adult children. He loves reading sports news and analyses football league tables in his free time.
