Community Life Coordinator£¯Campus Life

Reports To: Vice Principal, Campus Life (VPCL)

Job Type: Full-time

The Community Life Coordinator assists the VPCL to provide pastoral care to students, staff, and faculty for community well-being, enhancing community building, and advising students on available financial assistance.

General

  • Provides administrative support to VPCL
  • Compiles quarterly Campus Life report, annual budget proposal, annual Campus Life event calendar
  • Maintains and updates mySBC Student Portal
  • Assists in translation for Campus Life announcement and dissemination from Vice Principal (Campus Life) to students through email, Chapel and/or mailbox
  • Manages and supervises scholarship student helpers assigned to Campus Life Office
  • Prepares various letters of certification requested by students for VPCL’s approval such as NS deferment, certifying student status, etc.

Community Life

  • Supports VPCL to plan and coordinate Faculty, Staff and Students pastoral care matters
  • Assists VPCL to enhance community living through various fellowship groups and events

Student Services
a. Orientation

  • Plans and coordinates new students’ orientation every semester including but not limited to planning of time-table, setting up online orientation Moodle course, coordinating on-site orientation, preparing orientation package, liaison with various departments and student council on administrative and logistical support etc.
  • Provides support to international students’ hospitality and cultural adjustment matters

b. Financial Matters

  • Assists VPCL in administering the scholarship matters ranging from application to disbursement and ensuring scholarship recipients fulfill the expected requirements by overseeing student helpers’ assignments, conducting student briefings, collecting annual submissions (e.g. appreciation letters and ministry reports) and preparing scholarship related letters.
  • Assists VPCL in administering financial aid matters ranging from application to disbursement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Singaporean or Singapore PR
  • Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred with at least 2-3 years of working experience in the service industry and administrative work

Job Type: Full-time/ Part-time

The incumbent will report to the Senior Director of Administration in daily duties and work in tandem with various office bearers to develop multi-media products in line with the organisation¡¯s direction. This position requires a calculated and creative candidate who is a strategist and hands-on practitioner of communication mediums (print, online and social media) and processes while being sensitive to target audience/s.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and enhance media visibility of the College’s educational programs, its faculty and research to media, businesses and stakeholders, pitch and place stories and experts, positioning the College in a leadership role in theological education
  • Collaborate with various College departments with regards to targeted marketing, publication, and communication outreach.
  • Propose and manage budget and other resources for the functional areas assigned.
  • Manage end-to-end production e.g. promo videos, greeting videos, campaigns, photography, exhibitions, Annual Report and Stewardship Report.
  • Write reports and copywriting, carry out basic statistics gathering, keep up-to-date market trends and data analysis.

Lead, Spiritual Formation Coordination

Reports To: Director of the Centre for Teaching and Learning / Senior Dean of Programme Development

Job Type: Full-time

The Spiritual Formation (SF) Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that promote the spiritual growth and formation of the students in preparation for their ministry. This role requires a good understanding of the theological basis of SF, a passion for nurturing spiritual growth of students, and the ability to create meaningful experiences that contribute to the holistic theological education of the College.

  • Programme Development

      • Work closely with the SF Work Group for the following two aspects.
      • Develop a framework for the College¡¯s SF integration with academics.
      • Create a diverse range of experiences (such as retreats, pastoral care group [PCG], prayers, scriptural engagement, etc.) to cater to various spiritual needs.



  • Coordination

      • Work closely with the SF Committee for running the SF programs
      • Work closely with the Deans and faculty to adapt and implement the SF integration framework in the various schools and Advanced Studies.
      • Plan and execute SF related College Events with a committee.
      • Oversee the PCG system.
      • Work closely with the Chaplaincy and Dormitory Life Offices for feedback on the students¡¯ general spirituality to ensure a coordinated approach to SF.



  • Spiritual Guidance

      • Facilitate and lead SF activities, such as retreats, prayer groups, PCG.
      • Meet with students from the various schools regularly to provide spiritual direction.
      • Foster a supportive environment for students to explore and deepen their faith.



  • Assessment and Evaluation

      • Assess regularly the effectiveness of spiritual formation programmes.
      • Gather feedback from students, faculty, and staff to make informed recommendations to the Academic Committee for adjustments and improvements.
      • Analyse the SF evaluations of students and provide recommendations for follow-up.

Administrative Executive, Admissions

  • Oversee the admission process and procedure for all schools and programmes in the following:
    • Provide statistics and trend analysis on enrolment and overall student profile
    • Update and upkeep the college¡¯s website on the application package and information related to the Admissions Office
    • Review, update, upkeep, and translate letters and forms from for Admissions Office
    • Present the various academic programs offered by the college on various occasions
    • Correspond with applicants and process new enrollment applications, entry assessments, psychological tests and matriculation.
  • Authorized office bearer for ICA matters in the following:
    • Ensure all international students are holding valid student passes during the course of study at the College, and keeping abreast of the latest immigration rules and regulations.
    • Process visa, students¡¯ passes, LTSVP for student¡¯s family members

Senior Manager, Human Resource

The Senior Manager, Human Resources oversees all aspects of human resource practices and processes. He / She has to have strong job-fit recruiting experience, good relational acumen and the go-to person for all employee-related issues.

This job position is important to the College¡¯s educational success as faculty and staff are our most important asset. The scope of work will involve managing activities such as job design, recruitment & termination, organisational structuring, employee relations, performance management, training & development, remuneration packages for local and foreign (resident and non-resident in Singapore) employees and talent management.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the College’s human resource policies, particularly as it relate to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.

  • Provides suggestions and support to the reporting officer and guidance to other management leaders when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; and may be required to plan, administer, and execute them in these delicate circumstances.

  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for faculty and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

  • Analyses trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay schemes to ensure the College attracts and retains the needed talent.

  • Requires to be knowledgeable and experienced in working out remuneration packages for foreign faculty in line with local labour laws and regulations; and the foreign faculty may be resident in Singapore (through the securing of work passes issued by the Ministry of Manpower) or teaching online from their home countries.

  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.

  • Assists the reporting officer in overseeing employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

  • Maintains compliance with local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices periodically to maintain compliance.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resource, talent management, and employment laws.

Daily Duties

  • Daily supervision of the maintenance crew and repairs and maintenance
  • Addressing students and residents’ feedback on maintenance related matters
  • Replace or repair faulty or worn parts of school property and procure and keep stock of new parts

Executive

Reports To : Senior Director, Administration

Job Type : Full-time

To assist the Senior Director, Administration in daily tasks to support the Advancement, Alumni, Church Relations and Admin matters. The executive will also be responsible for dealing with routine tasks and inquiries that arise in this capacity. Alongside the other members of the Admin Domain, the executive will participate in other projects as assigned.

Advancement

  • Develop relationships with stakeholders (alumni, donors and churches) to promote financial support to SBC
  • Assist in the orientation of ad-hoc guests, visitors or potential donors
  • Generate Thank You Letters (TYL) and mail to donors together with the receipts
  • Analyze and track donation pattern
  • Plan, coordinate and launch fund-raising events for donors and alumni
  • Develop fund-raising proposal and Year-end gift


Alumni & Church Relations

  • Build and enhance relationships with SBC alumni (local and overseas) through organizing events, activities as well as facilitating networking opportunities
  • Collaborate with alumni representative from each school (SOTC, SOTE, SOC, SCM, DMin, ThM) in strategic planning for alumni activities
  • Updating of alumni website


Administrative

  • Provide administrative support to Admin Domain (room booking, minutes taking, payment request, organized events etc).
  • Responds to queries from churches, alumni, current and prospective donors.
  • Compile partial quarterly reports and budget proposal.
  • Assist respective departments by sending bulk email and/or print labels for mass mailing as requested.
  • Update contact details in database
  • Generate reports of alumni and churches contact information as requested and ensure compliance with Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) policy
  • Prepare, develop and update of presentation and promotion materials
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualification and Work experiences

  • Minimum – Diploma in any discipline.
  • 3 years¡¯ work experience is required.
  • Able to communicate, read and write in both Chinese and English language.
  • Excellent team player with good interpersonal and people skills.
  • Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude, and ability to prioritise and work independently.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office software. Mac-savvy user is a plus.
