Incoming students

Getting a good start at SBC . . .

International students should plan to arrive in Singapore at least two weeks before the semester begins for matriculation and orientation activities.

?

The required New Student Orientation for all incoming students is held the week before Semester begins in January or July. The academic, student council and administrative personnel will brief students on the various aspects of studying at SBC. Informal sessions with the deans, faculty and staff are included to provide opportunities for mutual acquaintance.

Various personality tests are conducted during the Orientation. All incoming students are required to take a personality inventory using the TJTA (Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis) to help assess if they need special guidance in ministry preparation. Students will meet individually with a College-appointed counsellor for a follow-up session. We will administer the TJTA either at Orientation or during the initial phase of their first semester.
