We rejoice and give thanks to our great and awesome God for his love, faithfulness and everlasting mercies to the Singapore Bible College over these past 72 years!
On the 4th of May SBC celebrated her 71st graduation ceremony with 107 students who graduated from the 4 Schools and Advanced Studies, with Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees! It was a heartwarming, joyous and triumphant moment when the graduands walked across the platform to receive their certificates! The worship, the welcome address, the sermon from Colossians 1:24-29, the Charge from 2 Timothy 4:1-5, the tributes from the representative schools, the Processional and Recessional – all these and more, were poignant and memorable. The atmosphere was electrifying with the presence of God felt throughout the auditorium!
Many of our graduates will be serving as pastors, counsellors in the marketplace, music ministers, missionaries in cross-cultural fields, in Asia and beyond. Our prayers accompany them as they live out Christ and the Gospel, and make Christ known to the nations! May they love the Father wholeheartedly, toil for Christ sacrificially, stay humble like Christ their Master-Teacher, and be clothed in the Holy Spirit’s unlimited power, doing great exploits for Christ and his kingdom!
How good is the God we adore,
Our faithful, unchangeable Friend;
Whose love is as great as his power,
And knows neither measure nor end!
‘Tis Jesus, the first and the last,
Whose Spirit shall guide us safe home;
We’ll praise him for all that is past,
And trust him for all that’s to come.
