God has built into our lives a natural rhythm of work and rest to help us fulfill our God-given responsibilities and to enjoy communion with Him. We, however, often lose this rhythm amidst the many “interruptions” and demands of ministry, family, and personal lives.? Before long, we find ourselves anxious, exhausted and overwhelmed by people, deadlines, and activities.

In times like this, remember Christ’s invitation:?Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Getaway with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly (Matt 11:28-30 MSG).?

My prayer for you is this: As you?get away?to?keep company with the Lord, as you?walk and work with him,?may the Lord let you gain back the?unforced rhythms of grace.
