This three-year 45-credit-hour programme, offered jointly with Bandung Theological Seminary (BTS), is designed to equip experienced worship and music ministry pastors and leaders, choral conductors and music team leaders with musical, pastoral, biblical, theological, and practical concepts and skills in order that they may be effective catalysts for the greater growth of God’s church in Indonesia and Asia.
Students can choose to major in:
1. choral conducting (for those involved in choir ministry) or
2. ministry leadership (for those who lead worship and/or music ministries).
The M.Min. in Worship and Music Leadership curriculum is offered in a hybrid format:
Learn from SBC faculty three times a year for five-day worship and music modules. Students without prior theological training will take three modules within the three years of study to learn from BTS faculty.
Interact with and learn from international and national participants of the annual Selah Retreat or other symposiums organised by SBC in Singapore, Indonesia and other parts of Asia.
Participate in daily community worship during the residential periods.
Apply, interact with, and integrate what is learned in classes into actual ministry situations while completing the post-residential assignments that require the students to work with a choir, worship team, worship ministry members, or congregation.
Students will also work alongside the faculty in organizing and co-teaching/leading in retreats and summits.?
The M.Min. in Worship and Music Leadership programme requires three years of full-time study to complete from the time of admission.
Worship and music courses taught by the SBC faculty will be in English. Bible and theology courses taught by the BTS faculty will be in Bahasa Indonesia.
