Biographical Information?

Belinda Tan is Lecturer of Old Testament at Singapore Bible College. Previously, she worked as an editor for eight years in the educational publishing industry in Singapore and Hong Kong. It was in Hong Kong that she dedicated the rest of her life to serving the church.?

She then obtained a Master of Divinity (Biblical Studies) and a Master of Theology (Old Testament) from SBC, the latter while serving the College as an academic administrative staff member and adjunct lecturer. She is currently completing a PhD in Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Cambridge under the supervision of Dr. Hilary Marlow, an expert in ecological hermeneutics. Her dissertation applies a material agential lens on the Ark of the Covenant stories as a way to challenge the anthropocentric bias in interpretations of the theocentric text.

Belinda weaves her editing skills and publishing experience with her theological education by serving as a consultant, project manager, and editor on publishing projects, coming alongside the ministries of writing, teaching, and preaching. Her heart’s desire is to help everyone hear the whole Word of God as well as the voices of all of His people. She is a member of True Way Presbyterian Church.
